Had a dream it was time
To be taken to the front of the line
Well that is not a place you wanna be
sleeping with the enemy, you know

Chapter Five

Z'aale reluctantly released his bride for a moment to reach for his wineglass, for he was suddenly thirsty. As he reached for his glass, an idea came to him. He would share some of his wine with her as sign of their coming intimacy. Not much wine- he thought. Just a sip.

He turned to her again and slipped his arm around her waist.

By the unholy heavens she feels wonderful..he thought.

His other hand held the large wineglass filled with wine. Smiling, he leaned over slightly and kissed her again, simply for the pleasure of it. Her arms wrapped around his neck tightly. She swayed into his body, exciting him. As he kissed her, she kissed back, enjoying the sensation. He looked deep into those expressive blue eyes and felt lost in them.

Odd...so - bewildering. Zarkon thought again. He had intended to brutally control Allura, instead, it was the other way around - at least for now.

She smiled back and said dreamily.."Z'aale....S'auh e'ya.."

Inside, Allura's inner self sceamed with revulsion and fear, but it seemed to receede more and more every eternal moment she was in Zarkon's embrace.

No...no..no...This CAN'T be happening! I can't! No! Wake up, Allura! Oh god...I - i...let me die...

Ah! She said it! He never heard those words from any woman except Hagar - when she was young, but Hagar had never spoke those words so beautifully as she did!

Little did he realize that he was in love with a shell of a woman. If he had known, Zarkon would have cared little, for she pleased him. That was all that mattered.

He said, S'auh e'ya...share my wine with me, hmmm?"

She smiled slowly and said, "only a little, please...Z'aale."

He nodded and said, "As you wish,S'auh e'ya...", little realizing he was about to seal his fate - for the wine in his glass was the Bride's Wine.

He drank first, looking into her face as he did so, then without releasing his glass, he gave it to her, making sure not to spill any on her. She sipped just a small amount. Smiling at her, he took the glass away from her lips, placed the glass back on the table, and turned to her again. Z'aale felt slightly dizzy, but then he felt a quickening in him - a desire to posess this woman fiercely.

He said softly, "S'auh e'ya Allura..." and they kissed deeply, her arms around his neck, his on her waist, both luxurating in the intense sensation. He then broke the kiss. Holding tightly to her waist, he moved his lips to her neck, and as Z'aale nipped at her delicate neck, a groan escaped involuntarily from her lips, pleasing him enormously. He continued to go lower-on her neck, her shoulders...

Allura's inner self curled up into a tiny ball, removed from what was happening.

And then blackness overtook Z'aale Zarkon as he passed out, their union unconsumated.

Without realizing it, Z'aale had drank the Bride's Wine. In doing so, Z'aale complicated things. For not only did he love Allura, but would desire only her.
